In May 2006 CABO MAGIC Sportfishing
proudly teamed with VERSUS and TRCP in Season 1 of "Escape to the Wild" which featured
ROCKY RAIMONDI a New York City firefighter and IAFF member, who is surprised with
his fishing trip of a lifetime and is taken to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico as he fulfills
his life-long dream to catch a marlin or two or three or four fishing for two days
aboard CABO MAGIC
A member of the Uniformed Firefighters Association of New York IAFF Local 94, Raimondi's
entry was the first to win an all-expenses-paid adventure from more than 400 entries
submitted by union members in the contest.
Theodore Roosevelt’s
conservation vision, debuted on Versus Network thanks to the financial support of
seven of TRCP’s union partners and two contractor associations. Beautiful production
by Orion Multimedia contributed to a fantastic audience response - millions of American
sportsmen and sportswomen tuned in to the show during its first and second season,
making it one of the highest-rated field sports programs on the VERSUS (formerly
OLN).
The Escape to the Wild series is a collaboration between VERSUS Country www.versus.com
and the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership (TRCP) www.trcp.org that awards
hardworking members of AFL-CIO affiliated unions with a hunting or fishing trip
