
The inaugural Bisbee’s Bluewater C.U.P. Championship tournament took place November
29th - December 1st in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and went straight into the record
books with a phenomenal catch average of 56.9 marlin per team.
Ten teams were invited to the Championship which was the finale to the
Bisbee’s Bluewater C.U.P. Series, a team oriented
series that included three tournaments in California and three in Mexico running
from July through October. Three teams were not able to attend. The all-release
event was filmed by an independent production crew and featured a unique “Pole Position”
scoring method which awarded starting points to teams based on their overall success
throughout the Series.
