Thanks so much... Apparently it just was not the day for marlin (or anything on a line) - but we had a fabulous tour of the coast, saw a particular whale breech the surface about 10 times back to back (AWESOME!), saw manta/sting? rays jumping out of the water all over (never seen that before), saw a sea lion in deep water surrounded by birds (dead fish in mouth), saw the largest group of porpoise i have ever seen (Lori it had to be 200 or more - all under the boat and around us for a football field) and got to hear some great fishing stories from our captain in the "down time". (think the whole crew felt sorry for us really)

But all in all it was a "FINTASTIC" day.

Additionally, Cabo is soooo amazing! so you might just get a chance to make it up to me Mr. Marlin God... please. i will be back!

Unfortunately, i came back to the concrete jungle to learn (my 1st day off vacation) that my company had merged with another and i had a new schedule and boss and blah blah blah.

Quite an adjustment from the resort life.

But hey, i have my job and that is good enough for me these days. gotta save up for my next Cabo trip.

Oh, we did catch the crap outta some sierra mackerel while surf fishing AND a rooster fish. AWESOME!

So thanks to everyone on the team and to you as well. great people, great advise, great fun!

Hope to call you for a reservation again some day soon.

Doug and I had a great time with your boys. We also enjoyed the Mar de Cortez. For our purposes, it was just fine.

Wanted to drop you a quick note of thanks. Karen and I had a great time in Cabo and the trip with Carlos and crew on Cabo Magic Dos was the highlight. The crew worked hard and Karen caught her first fish.. a 130-40lb marlin in the last 10 minutes of the day!

Thanks to my great crew on the Cabo Magic I fought a nine foot Marlin a 2 hour fight. They were great and almost landed a shark right afterward.

Dear Cabo Magic

Our first trip to Cabos was a huge success.

Our stay at Hotel Mar De Cortez was ideal. Rooms were generous sized, we had plenty of hot water and the grounds were well maintained. The restaurant served good food at reasonable prices. The make-sense economics allowed us to fish three full days. Again, thanks for your suggestions.

We had no issues communicating with anyone during our visit. Your etiquette tips were very helpful.

Our three days of fishing was incredible. Each of us had plenty of action and earned "bragging rights". We will contact the Billfish Foundation for our release certificates.

You were instrumental in many of the choices and decisions made by our esteemed coodinator and we all sincerely thank you.

Already talking about a return trip and several co-workers, friends and family members will be visiting too.

Last year was a busy one for the tourism business in Los Cabos, Mexico. Despite the unmistakable impact of the H1N1 swine flu virus on the region's action in the spring and summer, there were plenty of exciting developments, including the opening of five new hotels. You now have plenty of choices when you head out to Los Cabos, which just happens to be a great place to unwind.

1. Barcelo Los Cabos Palace Deluxe
The Barcelo's doors opened in December 2009, and San Jose del Cabo will never be the same. The resort has 626 luxurious suites, ranging in size from 1,125 square feet to 2,168 square feet ... but this just doesn't compare to the 34 swim-up suites. There are three pools on the property, covering more than 50,000 square feet, and a water park specifically for children. The spa has 16 private treatment cabins and a hydrotherapy room. So, the all-inclusive, all-suite resort is designed to impress.

2. Zoëtry Casa del Mar
There are only 32 suites at the hacienda-style beachfront boutique ... and the hotel is designed to make sure the spectacular Pacific sunset is in full view from across the resort. The resort has been open since the first day of December, and it's main draw might have something to do with the exceptionally large suites with Jacuzzis, Rivolta bedding and private balconies. Access to the Cabo Real Golf Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., probably doesn't hurt.

3. Capella Pedregal
Open since July, the Capella Pedregal has 66 rooms and residences in its Cabo San Lucas Marina location. Enjoy amazing views of the Sea of Cortes and the Pacific Ocean from this resort, which occupies 24 acres of mountainside and oceanfront property. If there's a view you want, chances are you'll find it at the Capella.

4. Sirena del Mar (coming in 2010)
This Welk Resort property consists of seven acres of luxury, high on the cliffs above Cabo San Lucas. Every villa has an oceanfront view, and you'll be able to see whales from December through March. Located in the middle of downtown Cabo San Lucas, you'll have easy access to the city and nightlife, but it won't be hard to beat a retreat back to unparalleled comfort and seclusion.

5. Grand Solmar Land's End Resort & Spa (coming in 2011)
The latest venture from Solmar Hotels & Resorts, the Grand Solmar Land's End Resort & Spa is planning to fuse old world architecture with modern style.

In addition to the positives above, it was a pleasure to see Rene on deck assisting with the fishing duties... All around good crew...

Hey Cabo Magic
You did it again and now more of our friends and family are hooked - pun intended!

My 8 year old Robert reeled in his own dorado. My 15 yr old nephew Dan caught and released his first billfish earning his bragging rights!

Even tho one of our three days was a 'its called fishing not catching' day we had a blast. We saw whales, dolphins, rays and lobo sea lions too.

Got home and ordered shirts and sweatshirts for everyone on 'the list' for both Christmas and Chanukah because our family celebrates both. Love your new design Cabo Magic Gefilte Fish - what a hoot.

We wish all of our amigos there a wonderful and merry Chanukah and Christmas and a Happy New Year.

To my friends at Cabo Magic, we just returned home from paradise. The highlight of our "great vacation" was the day long charter aboard the Cabo Magic Dos. The fishing charter was more than we imagined. Not only did we catch numerous Dorado and a sailfish, we were blessed to see whales, dolphins, sea lions, as well as the beautiful shoreline of Cabo San Lucas. The crew of Carlos and Renee should be commended for their hospitality, fishing skills and their desire to show us the true beauty of Cabo. We will definately come back to see you again.
